The main restaurant is open Monday to Sunday at 6.30pm for evening service during the winter, with our usual menu including our famous Steaks and fresh Seafood dishes. From Easter to September, we will be open each day for hot drinks and refreshments, with lunch being served between 12-3pm.

We will also be open for lunch most days during December, including every day between Christmas and New Year.

Please be aware that there may be times we have to close for lunch due to staffing shortages. Please check with us before making a special trip to avoid any disappointment.

The health and well-being of our staff and customers is extremely important to us, so we have made sure extra safety measures are in place so you can have an enjoyable experience at The Boatshed. We will be practicing social distancing and we would advise booking your table in advance as we will have reduced seating available. This also allows us to maintain safe distances between customers and to keep track of the number of people in the premises at any one time.

Before you book, please read the following guidelines that are in place until further notice.

  • Booking Guidelines
    • We can accept parties greater than 6, however, our seating arrangements can only seat a maximum of 6 people so we may have to reserve 2 tables for you.
      • If you require a booking of more than 6 people, please get in touch with us by phone or email, and we will try to accommodate your request. Please be aware that we may have limited availability for larger groups depending on other bookings already in place, so please contact us with as much advance notice as possible.
    • We can offer outdoor seating during the summer months (weather dependent) if you do not feel comfortable dining inside. Please request this when making your reservation.
    • When you arrive, please wait to be seated. Be mindful of other customers and keep your distance where possible.
    • We are operating a one way system in the restaurant. Please enter through the wine bar and exit through the upstairs restaurant.
    • Face coverings are now not required, however we welcome you to continue wearing a face covering if you prefer.
    • Please remember to keep socially distant from others at all times
    • To protect our staff and customers, we will keep windows and doors open for ventilation when we can. Please make sure to bring plenty of layers in case you are cold!
    • A discretionary 10% service charge will be added to your bill, which goes directly to our staff.

You will receive an email confirmation once your booking is confirmed or rejected. Please check your spam folder if you have not received confirmation.

Booking Deposits
For bookings of 5 or more people, we will require a deposit of £5 per person to secure your booking. You will receive an email from us with your booking confirmation with instructions on how to make payment.
If you need to cancel your reservation after you have paid a deposit, please let us know as soon as possible. For cancellations with more than 24 hours notice, we will refund your deposit payment. For cancellations within 24 hours, refunds will not be given. Under special circumstances refunds may be given by management’s discretion.

Make A Booking

Simply select a date below to see available reservation times, select your preferred time and tell us your contact details and your reservation will be sent to us. Please note that all reservation requests will remain as pending until you receive a confirmation email from us.

Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, however we do have outdoor seating available – weather permitting – and you are welcome to sit outdoors with your dog. Please request this when making your reservation.

Step 1: Select guests, date and time

Please note that due to high demand during the peak season, reservations will only be held for 15 minutes after your reserved time. If you know you are going to be late, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can hold your reservation.

If you arrive later than 15 minutes after your reserved time without letting us know, we cannot guarantee that we will have a table available for you as we will try to seat another customer.
